Tests

Before students join our tuition service, we assess the student’s strength and weakness areas via the admissions test they are required to carry out.

The admissions test forms part of our skills assessment and covers different areas of the curriculum for their particular subject area.

By undertaking this admissions test before joining our tuition classes, we can then design a personalised programme regardless of their age and ability.

Our unique skills assessment procedure enables us to create a tailored tuition programme for each child and place them in classes where the other students have similar capabilities.

We identify any learning blocks or gaps in their knowledge and help address this accordingly. Parents and guardians love the insight that we give about their child’s progress, and the support and help that we provide is very reassuring for them.

  • We cover the whole specification starting from year 3 till A-level. This includes basic mathematics for primary school students, KS1 – KS3, secondary school entry exams, GCSE and A-level maths (including Maths and Further Maths).
  • We assess the student’s strength and weakness areas via the admissions test they are required to carry out before joining the maths sessions, where the test covers different areas of the curriculum. By undertaking this admissions test before joining our classes, we can then design a personalised programme regardless of their age and ability. Our maths programmes are adaptable to each individual student and the lessons are thought at a level and pace that allows each student to grasp the technical knowledge with a deeper understanding.
  • Students in our maths classes will cover all the topics covered in the National Curriculum and will practice and gain confidence via our in-house materials and resources packs. Our approach also helps our students develop important learning skills such as working independently, following and replicating worked examples and choosing the best method to approach answering a question in an exam situation.
  • Science is a comprehensive and a wide subject that requires students to be able to apply what they have learnt to the real world. Therefore, we deliver seperate classes for the 3 key subject areas in Science: Biology, Chemistry and Physics. All are taught from KS3 to A-level. We accommodate to both double and triple science for GCSE students, supporting them to reach the highest grades possible.

  • Whether its Biology, Chemistry or Physics we use a combination of approaches for the subject and delve into the topics within that subject that the student has struggled with which would be evident in the admissions test that they would have had to take before as part of our skills assessment procedure.

  • In our Science classes, every student is afforded the opportunity to ask questions, explore new ideas and even challenge findings. We encourage students to have an inquisitive mindset and to be open to new ideas and ways of thinking. Our Science tutors are here to support students as they discover the complexity and wonders of the scientific world and resources and updated on a regular basis to reflect any new changes to the National Curriculum.
      • We deliver lessons that educate students in all aspects needed for the National Curriculum.
